RAVEN, a seed priming for watermelon 

The following results are from watermelon hybrid F1 Aypa. RAVEN was particularly useful in speeding up and elevating germination, which was done at low temperatures (16-18ºC) for 5 days, and then switched to higher temperatures (RT, ca. 21ºC). Seed vigour increased by 18%, total germination by 4% and biomass per seedling by 21% as a result of this treatment.
